Players can purchase and customize cars with parts that affect handling, appearance, and power. The vehicles are primarily Japanese-centric or imports for the US market, and customizations include body kits, nitrous, neon lights, interior gauges, roll cages, seats, and many more performance-enhancing upgrades. The courses and regions you drive and race on are based on real-world locations.

Other rivals can be found both on the courses and in rest stop areas around Tokyo. Certain rivals require specific additions to your vehicle or configuration before they will challenge you. Your garage and pocketbook also play a role, as certain challenges can only be taken on when you have met specific requirements.
