The game Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit returns to its roots in scenic tracks, cops versus racers face-off, and exotic super cars. The game is set in Seacrest County, a land of sunny beaches, snowy mountains, hot deserts, and high forests, where the roads are filled with cars from all over the world.
The story revolves around you beginning your career as both a racer and a cop simultaneously, with 20 ranks to achieve for each role. Gaining rewards along the way unlocks new cars. The racing events are divided into four groups, based on participating car types, and can only be accessed from the map. As a racer, you'll experience sprints, time trials, and races with or without police presence.
In Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit , the accent is made on the most powerful cars in the world, including the Subaru WRX STi, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X, Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport, and Koenigsegg CCXR Edition. A total of 64 cars are available.
The game also features an online multiplayer mode with a new Autolog system that tracks your friends' records and encourages competition to beat their times. The Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit game was released on November 19, 2010, for the Xbox 360 console.
