Chocobo's Dungeon 2 follows the adventures of Chocobo and Mog as they search for treasure. Mog discovers a new Mysterious Dungeon, releasing a seal that causes Bahamut to appear. Chocobo is rescued by Shiroma, a young white mage, and must help Mog find Bahamut and fix the unsealed dungeon.
Chocobo's Dungeon 2 is an action RPG in the style of other Mysterious Dungeon games. In this game, Chocobo descends into dungeon areas alone or with a partner, gathering treasure while finding the passageway to the next floor and satisfying hunger. The game is viewed from the top down as all objects on the screen move at the same time.
Chocobo's Dungeon 2 features Chocobo's character keeping his level and stats between trips to the dungeon, which sets it apart from other Mysterious Dungeon games. Boss monsters wait at the completion of most objectives, and different sub-quests are available from the residents of Monster Town.
Chocobo's Dungeon 2 was released for the PlayStation on November 30th, 1999, and is an action RPG in the style of other games in the Mysterious Dungeon series.
