•
Adjust pre-set cue-power: Hold X Button + L2 to decrease, or X Button + R2 to increase.
•

Pool Rule Editor
Since there are over 50 different sets of Pool rules, we have put together a Pool Rule Editor, which allows you to alter a few of the more common rules.
Trick Shot Mode
TRICK SHOT MODE allows you to clear or relay individual balls or the whole table and set up any type of pattern with the balls. You could then go to the demo mode to see if a top computer player can clear the table or simply watch Jimmy play a complete game, possibly scoring a 147 maximum break in snooker.
Other Games
Elsewhere in the rooms you will find a highly addictive darts game, checkers, an arcade cabinet with a fast action shoot em up game called Dropzone.
The Snooker Room
Press the button at the bottom right of the hallway screen to enter the snooker room. The camera zooms into this luxurious location and settles on a beautiful view of the full size English rules snooker table. It's a massive 12 feet by 6 feet, but there's still plenty of room to swing a cue. There's even a fireplace crackling away to keep the room warm and inviting.
A ghostly referee is twiddling his thumbs at the other end of the table. These bodiless gloves are at your beck and call as you play snooker. Not only do they replace the colors for you as they are potted, but they don't mind giving the ball a quick clean if it gets a tad too chalky. They also act as your computer opponent if you decide to play a proper frame of snooker.
There's not just a snooker table in this room. It's also home to a darts board and checkers (checkers in the US) set. There's also a surprising number of other hidden items in the room.
You move around the snooker room the same way as you did in the hall. Have a good look around now, or select the bumblebee icon in the top left of the screen for a guided tour of the room via the Jimmy White BeeCam®. There is also one BeeCam® route in the Hallway.
You can start playing one of the games by selecting its icon in the top left corner. If you want to play darts we've included instructions on page 17.
Playing Snooker
If you understand the rules of snooker then you'll find this version strangely familiar. It's a full size table using the officially recognized World Snooker rules (except for some subjective referee decisions, such as, when the referee in real life decides that you deliberately did a foul or bad shot or your belly really did brush a ball aside when leaning over the table etc...). If you need to recap on any of these rules or you've never played the sport before, turn to page 15 for a quick lesson.
When you first step up to the table you have to choose what type of game you wish to play before you can actually do anything. To do this just click on the universal Start Game icon on the left hand-side of the screen.
Trickshot Editor
It's advisable to familiarize yourself with the controls by using the TRICKSHOT EDITOR located in the DEMO/TRICKSHOT EDITOR menu. The Trick Shot mode allows you to position the balls anywhere on the table in straight lines or circles around the ball you are currently 'on', and no rules are considered. You get to take a shot whenever you want at anything you want.
Before you play your first proper match, it's worth familiarizing yourself with the controls and seeing how ball spin and position affect the route each of the balls takes on the table. You can use a number of computer aided aiming options and UNDO feature, all of which are only available in the Trick Shot mode, or when you set 'practice on' when playing a proper game.
Another option you can use is to set up a particular ball layout. Then go back to the Game Menu and set it to DEMO FROM CURRENT LAYOUT and see if the CPU player can figure out how to correctly pot the remaining balls as if it was a proper game.
In-Game Icons
All your shots, and the options you have before you take your shot, are all represented by icons that have now appeared on the left screen.
The first four icons are similar to the ones that were there
