The Sega Saturn compilation includes two titles based on the popular game series. The base game is Magic Carpet , released in 1996, and an add-on titled Magic Carpet: The Hidden Worlds . In Europe, this re-release was issued under a different title.

The story of Magic Carpet follows the journey of two archaeologists as they navigate through ancient ruins to retrieve magical artifacts. Players take on the role of one of the archaeologists and must use their wits and agility to overcome obstacles and enemies in a variety of environments.

The gameplay in Magic Carpet is action-packed, with fast-paced platforming sequences and challenging puzzles to solve. Players can collect power-ups and items to enhance their abilities, such as increased speed or the ability to shoot projectiles. The game features a unique blend of exploration, combat, and puzzle-solving, making it an engaging experience for players.
