The Home on the Range GBA takes up where the movie left off. Alameda Slim, Rico and the three Willies have escaped from jail and are up to their old tricks. Ever since Buck, Maggie and the other farm animals helped put the outlaws behind bars, they have been schemin' to escape jail. Extracted from the original game manual
Set in the Wild West, this action-adventure game follows Buck, a karate-kicking stallion, alongside Jeb the billy goat and Lucky Jack the rabbit as they pursue escaped outlaws. After the villains flee jail to seek revenge on the farm animals who imprisoned them, the heroes must track down each outlaw by collecting wanted posters and mastering new combat skills. The player takes control of this trio to round up the criminals and restore peace to Lil' Patch Of Heaven.
Story
Game Overview
Alameda Slim, Rico, and the three Willies have escaped jail and are heading for Lil' Patch Of Heaven (or Happy Meadows) to seek revenge. Since Buck, Maggie, and the other farm animals helped put the outlaws behind bars, they have been planning their escape.
Now it is up to Buck, Jeb, and Lucky Jack to round them up once more. Giddy up and head out into the Wild West for a rootin'-tootin adventure.
Characters
•
Buck: A brash, muscular, and daring karate-kicking stallion who previously sent the outlaws into "retirement."
•
Jeb: A cranky, grumpy billy goat who collects tin cans. He must round up the "wanted" posters for each escaped outlaw before Buck can track them to their hideout.
•
Lucky Jack: A wild-eyed, peg-legged rabbit who acts as a guide. He helps perfect their moves and explains any newfound skills or special abilities acquired along the way.
How to Play
Getting Started
Make sure the POWER switch is OFF. Insert the Disney's Home On The Range Game Pak into the Game Boy Advance slot as described in your Nintendo Game Boy Advance instruction manual. Turn the POWER switch ON.
NOTE: The Disney's Home On The Range Game Pak is for the Game Boy Advance system only.
Title Screen
After the legal information, you will see screens for Disney Interactive, A2M and finally, Disney's Home On The Range. Press Start to proceed to the Main Menu.
Main Menu
Use the +Control Pad Up and Down to highlight NEW GAME, PASSWORD, OPTIONS, or CREDITS. Press the A Button to select.
Password Input Screen
After selecting PASSWORD, you will find yourself on the password input screen. After you complete each level, you will be given a 4-letter password, which will allow you to resume your adventure from that point. Use this screen to input any passwords you might have.

+Control Pad Right/Left: Highlight password letter boxes

A Button: Confirm the password
•
B Button: Return to the previous screen
Options
From the Options screen, you may turn “On” or “Off” the Sound FX and Music settings. You may also change the Language setting between English and Français.

Buck's Fight / Wild Card Collectibles
As Buck defeats the Outlaws, they will occasionally drop items. Collecting three matching items will earn Buck health or other special features.

Coffee Pot: 3 Coffee Pots earn Buck an extra life.

Boxer Shorts: 3 Boxer Shorts earn Buck 3 health bars.
•
Money Bag: 3 Money Bags earn Buck 2 extra lives.
•
Boot: 3 Boots earn Buck an extra Horseshoe.
•
Detonator: 3 Detonators will blow up all outlaws on screen.
•
Random: Collecting a combination of any 3 items earns Buck 1 health bar.
Horseshoe
As you defeat outlaws, the horseshoe fills up. When you have at least one full horseshoe, press the L button and the R button simultaneously for Buck to perform a super attack.
Sheriff Star
Pick up a sheriff star to increase Buck's health level by one bar.
Trophy
Each trophy gives you an extra life.
Bonuses and Items to Collect with Jeb
Ear of Corn
When he chews an ear of corn, Jeb can spit the grains at his obstacles and enemies, while keeping a safe distance. Press the B button to spit corn grains.
Anvil
Catch an anvil to increase the power of Jeb's attacks. Press the A button, then the B button, to destroy any enemy or destructible object displayed on screen.

Sheriff Badge
When you pick up a Sheriff Badge, Buck's health will increase by one bar.
Float
When picked up, Buck will be able to temporarily float over mud.
Tin Cans
100 Tin Cans earn Jeb an extra life.
Cabbage
If Jeb gets hurt, gobbling down some Cabbage will recharge his health.
Jumping Beans
Jumping Beans give Jeb the power to double-jump, allowing him to reach locations which are normally too high. Press the A Button to jump, and then press the A Button again while Jeb is in the air.
Red Pepper
This little Pepper fires up Jeb's energy. Press the R Button while using the +Control Pad Left/Right. Jeb will charge, plowing through almost anything in his way. Use the Charge attack with the Jump (A Button) to make long jumps.
Corn Cob
Chomping the Corn Cob will give Jeb the ability to spit the kernels at obstacles and enemies from a safe distance. Press the B Button to spit the corn kernels.
Anvil
Grabbing an Anvil will increase the power of Jeb's Drop Attack. Press the A Button followed by the B Button and any enemy or smashable item on screen will be demolished.
Watch
Collect a watch to add time to the counter.
Lightning Bolt
Collect a lightning bolt to engage turbo. Buck will need it to clear certain dangerous obstacles.
Sheriff Star
Collect a sheriff star to increase Buck's health level by one bar.
Wings
Collect wings for Buck to float above the mud.
Coffee Pot
3 coffee pots allow Buck to gain an extra life.
Underpants
3 underpants increase Buck's health level by three bars.
Purse
3 purses allow Buck to gain two extra lives.
Hay Bale
3 hay bales allow Buck to gain an extra horseshoe.
Detonator
3 detonators will explode all outlaws displayed on screen.
Joker
Any combination of 3 items increases Buck's health level by one bar.
Canned Goods
With 100 canned goods, Jeb gains an extra life.
Clock
If you collect the clock, you will increase the time on the timer.
Acceleration
Pick it up and you will go at full speed for a while. Buck will need this speed to get past dangerous obstacles.
Sheriff's Badge
When you pick up a sheriff's badge, Buck's health will improve by one bar.
Underwear
3 underwear provide Buck with 3 health bars.
Money Bag
3 money bags provide Buck with 2 extra lives.
Boot
3 boots provide Buck with an extra horseshoe.
Chance
Collecting any 3 objects provide Buck with one health bar.
Cans
100 cans provide Jeb with an extra life.

Horseshoe
As you defeat outlaws, the Horseshoe fills up; once at least one is full, press L and R buttons together for Buck's powerful 4-hooved kick.
Sheriff Badge

Double jump
Press button A, then button A once in the air.
