Lan and his family have moved house to Cyber City, a city famous for its new technology. Lan and Mega Man quickly make new friends, and find out about the legend of the Cybeasts, two ancient creatures with such power that they eventually destroyed each other. However, a shady organization is intent on reviving and controlling the Cybeasts for their own nefarious needs, and Mega Man gets caught in the middle! While they capture the phoenix-like Falzar, Mega Man captures the wolf-like Mega Man Battle Network 6 Cybeast Gregar . By harnessing this new power, Lan and Mega Man must save the internet once again!
Mega Man Battle Network 6 Cybeast Gregar is an RPG-like game in which you navigate through both the real world, and the cyberworld of the internet. As Lan, you move through the real world, interacting with people and finding places to 'jack-in' to the cyberworld for Mega Man to take control. As Mega Man , you can fight viruses in a hybrid of turn-based and real-time battle: you select which battle chips you need to use each turn, and then use them while actively dodging enemy fire.
New to Battle Network 6 is the "Cross Change" system. After beating certain enemy Navis, Mega Man can copy their strengths (as well as their weaknesses!) and use them to his advantage, similar to the original Mega Man games. For example, you could take on the firepower of Heat Man, or the cutting power of Slash Man. At a certain point in the game, Mega Man also gains control of the powerful Cybeast, Gregar . Using this power, Mega Man can transform into a wolf-like Navi, boosting his attack power for three turns, and enhance the power of certain battle chips.
If players continue to push Mega Man , he will enter the "Beast Over" state, with even more power, but at the loss of control and a severely weakened Mega Man . It's also possible to combine the Cross Change with Gregar , creating even more powerful attacks. This game also links up to Mega Man Battle Network 6: Cybeast Falzar. Players can trade battle chips that are specific to each version, or net battle against each other.
Mega Man Battle Network 6 Cybeast Gregar was released on 2006-06-13 for the Game Boy Advance. It is a part of the Mega Man Battle Network series, a popular RPG-like game in which you navigate through both the real world, and the cyberworld of the internet.

Game Boy Advance Game Link Cable

You Need:

Connecting:
1. Make sure the power of both Game Boy Advance systems is OFF.
2. Insert a Mega Man Battle Network 6 Game Pak into each Game Boy Advance system.
3. Link the Game Boy Advance Game Link cable to the external extension connector on both systems. The system connected to the smaller plug is 1P.
4. Turn on the systems.

Connecting:
1. With both gaming systems turned OFF, insert a Mega Man Battle Network 6 Game Pak into each system.
2. Connect the Game Boy Advance Wireless Adapters to the external expansion connectors of each system.
3. Turn both systems ON.
Note: Using the Nintendo GameCube WaveBird Wireless Controller may conflict with the Game Boy Advance Wireless Adapter, mixing the signals and causing interference.
Starting Up & Controls
Main Menu
On the Title screen, press START to see the options for starting the game. If you have not yet saved a game, the Continue option will not appear.

New Game: Start a new game from the beginning.
•
Continue: Start the game from the point where you saved it.
•
Net Battle: Begin Multiplayer Mode. This option only appears when the Wireless Adapter is connected.
Soft Reset
Press START, SELECT, and the A and B Buttons simultaneously any time during gameplay to soft-reset the game and return to the Main Menu. Use this to quit your current game and start over from where you last saved.
Field Screen
On the Field screen, you control Lan in the Real World and Mega Man in the Cyber World.

Exploring the Real World
You progress through the game by moving back and forth between the Real World and the Cyber World. In the Real World, you play as Lan.
•
Speak/Examine: Press the A Button to talk to the person in front of you or examine something.
•
Dash: Hold down the B Button while moving with the +Control Pad to skate along faster than a normal walk.
•

Jack-in: Stand in front of a computer or other electronic device and press the R Button to transmit a signal from your PET device to send Mega Man into electronic equipment.
If there is a problem with an electronic device, it's probably due to a virus or an enemy Navi wreaking havoc inside it. When this happens, jack in and send Mega Man into the Cyber World to do a number on the enemy. You can also jack in even if there is no trouble to clean up, so check all over the Real World for places to jack into and explore.
Exploring the Cyber World
In the Cyber World, you play as Mega Man, searching out enemy bosses while taking out pesky viruses and solving a variety of problems.
•
Speak/Examine: Press the A Button to talk to programs or examine something. Be sure to examine the Mystery Data scattered here and there.
•
Dash: Hold down the B Button while moving with the +Control Pad to dash along faster than a normal walk.
•
Talk to Lan: Press the L Button anywhere in the field to talk to Lan in the Real World. If you're stuck, try asking him for advice.

Jack-out: Press the R Button to bail out of the Cyber World and return to the Real World and regain control of Lan. Beware-there may be times when

ATTACK POWER
Determines the damage an enemy takes with a single hit; higher power is generally more effective but range, spread, and elemental attributes are also important factors.
CHIP TYPES
There are 10 types of chips: Fire, Electric, Sword, Cursor, Bonus Point, Aqua, Wood, Wind, Break, and Summon.
ELEMENTAL ATTRIBUTES
Four chip types have elemental strengths and weaknesses; attacking an enemy with a strong elemental attribute performs an elemental attack worth double damage.
SPECIAL CHIP EFFECTS
Sword chips deal double damage against wind-type enemies and others weak against Sword-type attacks.
CHIP CODES
Displayed as letters A-Z, identical codes allow selecting two different chips simultaneously on the Custom screen, while codes with an asterisk can be combined with any other code.
PROGRAM ADVANCE
Selecting certain chip combinations causes them to fuse into a new Battle Chip, with all discovered PAs saved to the P.A. Memo area.
TRADERS
Various machines offer exchanges: Chip Traders give random new chips for old ones, Number Traders give items for correct eight-digit codes, and Bug Piece Traders exchange bugfans for chips.
ITEMS
Collect items to power-up Mega Man, such as HP Memory which increases max HP by 20, or P Codes which eliminate Security Cubes.
USE THE L BUTTON IF YOU GET STUCK
Pressing the L Button allows Mega Man to provide a useful hint if you are unsure what to do or where to go.
GET PLENTY OF REST
Go to bed in your room when you have nothing left to do to advance time to the start of the next day.
USE THE SPECIAL CHIP ORDER SERVICE
Unlocking libraries with other players reveals new chips that can be ordered to restock your folders through the Data Library service.
WATCH YOUR HP
HP is not restored after battles, so use recovery items, Sub Chips, or collect HP Balls on the Result screen to stay healthy.
MAINTAIN FULL SYNCHRO STATUS
Finishing a battle in Full Synchro carries the status to the next battle, providing double damage for attacks during that state.
USING ATTACK ELEMENTS, PART 1
Use environmental advantages, such as firing a fire attack at an enemy standing on a grass panel, to deal double damage.
USING ATTACK ELEMENTS, PART 2
Combine status effects and elements, such as freezing an enemy on an ice panel before using a Break Attack, to deal double damage.
