Training Games
The stars at the top indicate remaining training attempts. Once all stars are gone, you must select FIGHT to proceed. Before each bout, you must train twice to build fitness and strength.
Auto Train allows automatic training by selecting a Training Game. Results appear immediately, though results may not be optimal.
Each Training Game focuses on a specific attribute (Strength, Speed, or Stamina). Depending on performance, Rocky gains a 1-8% increase in the primary attribute and a 0-4% increase in secondary attributes. Changed attributes are highlighted in red.
Speed Bag
Highlighted gloves indicate which button to press: A, B, or alternating A and B. After a set time, the icon changes and a beep sounds, requiring new punches.
Time button presses to build punch rhythm, moving the yellow pointer to the end of the red bar. Reaching the end requires a faster rhythm and rewards higher points. The yellow bar shows your rhythm; the red bar shows the required tempo.
Go too fast, and the yellow bar overshoots the tempo bar, resetting your rhythm. You must slow down to catch the bar. After 10 successful hits (10 x A, 10 x B, or 10 x A&B), Rocky performs a slam bonus punch.
Pads
The trainer orders moves via the icon in the top left. A new punch is ordered once the move is performed. Faster reactions yield higher scores.

Damage depends on landed punches. Punches consume stamina (blue bar), reducing damage output and punch speed as stamina depletes. Energy (green bar) depletes when hit; reaching zero results in a knockdown.
Energy and stamina recover between rounds and after knockdowns. Recovery amount depends on remaining stamina at the end of the previous round.
Knockdown Screen
If knocked down, continually press A and B in sequence to regain health. The top bar must fill for the boxer to reenter. If the count reaches 10 before the bar fills, the boxer is knocked out.
Three knockdowns in a single round result in a Technical Knock Out (TKO). A mandatory 8 count is enforced before the boxer can reenter, regardless of bar refill speed.
The Pause Menu shows punches thrown, landed, and knockdowns, serving as a score indicator. Points are awarded for landed punches and knockdowns, and deducted for unsporting conduct. To exit a fight, select Exit, press A, choose Yes, and press A again. Choosing No returns you to the Pause Menu.
End of Round
A score card shows judge scores for the previous round. The highest score wins. Points are awarded for landed punches and knockdowns, and deducted for running away or stalling.
The round indicator shows the next scheduled round, up to a limit of 15. The fighter winning the most rounds is declared the winner.
