Mario Party 5 is the fifth entry in the Mario Party series. Players compete on one of six game boards to collect the most stars by the end of the game. The goal is to be the first player to reach a star, which can be purchased with coins earned from landing on certain spaces or winning mini games. Coins can also be found by landing on event spaces.
Gameplay involves taking turns rolling dice to move around the board and participating in mini games, which can be won for coins or other rewards. The game features over 70 new mini games and allows players to play as various characters, including Toad and Boo ghost. Players can also collect bonuses that may help them or hinder their opponents.
