The game takes place in a world where mutants and humans coexist, and two of these groups have decided to settle their differences through combat. Meanwhile, Ryu and Chun-Li from Street Fighter join forces with the X-Men to take down a powerful threat that threatens both worlds.

The gameplay involves one-on-one battles between characters, with each fighter having unique abilities and movesets. Players can choose from a variety of characters, including iconic figures like Wolverine, Guile, and Zangief from Street Fighter, as well as X-Men legends like Cyclops and Gambit. The goal is to defeat your opponent's character by reducing their health meter to zero.
