Asteroids

You play the role of a spaceship pilot trapped in a gigantic asteroid cloud. Your goal is to destroy all incoming asteroids with your ship's photon cannon. As you progress, you'll face an Alien Robot Saucer that shoots randomly across the screen. You can rotate your ship left or right and move it forward using the controller.

The game features three types of asteroids: large, medium, and small. When shot, they break up into smaller pieces or are destroyed. The Alien Robot Saucers come in two sizes: small and large. Both use photon lasers to shoot and will explode when destroyed. You have three reserved ships available to replace a destroyed spaceship.

The game has four difficulty settings: Novice, Intermediate, Advanced, and Expert. It also offers three different game variations: Standard Play, Competition Asteroids, and Team Asteroids. In Standard Play, you take turns when your ship is destroyed. In Competition Asteroids, two players compete against each other, with friendly fire affecting the score. In Team Asteroids, two players work together without friendly fire.

Scoring is awarded for destroying asteroids and Alien Robot Saucers. You'll earn a new reserve ship for every 10,000 points. The player with the most points wins.
