Landstalker , released on October 30th, 1992 for the Sega Mega Drive, is a treasure hunt adventure with action and puzzle elements. The story follows Nigel, an experienced treasure hunter, as he searches for the valuable Statue of Jypta. After recovering and selling the statue, Nigel meets Friday, a wood nymph being chased by thieves who believe she knows the location of the mysterious treasure of King Nole.

Landstalker is an isometric action game with platforming, puzzle-solving, and light role-playing elements. Players control Nigel as he navigates through hostile areas, fighting enemies, jumping, climbing ladders and ropes, and solving puzzles to overcome obstacles. As players progress, they can acquire better weapons and armor, increasing their hit points and strength. In towns, players can interact with non-player characters, buy items in shops, and complete optional quests for rewards.
