Art of Fighting 2 is the sequel to the original Art of Fighting and prequel to the original Fatal Fury . The story delves into the mysterious behind-the-scenes events that shaped the world of martial arts tournaments. Mr. Karate, the final boss of the first game, is revealed to be Takuma Sakazaki, Ryo and Yuri's father, under the control of Geese Howard's evil intentions.
The gameplay of Art of Fighting 2 has improved upon its predecessor, with smoother execution of special moves and more options in one-player mode. The game features a diverse cast of characters from the first game, along with new additions such as Takuma Sakazaki, Yuri Sakazaki, Eiji Kisaragi, Temjin, and a younger version of Geese Howard. Players can choose from a variety of playable characters, each with their unique fighting style, to compete in intense martial arts battles.
