Kessen is a strategy game that tells the story of the events that brought feudal Japan out of a century of civil war and installed the Tokugawa Shogunate as the dominant political entity for the next two hundred years. As you play, you'll experience key battles, including Sekigahara, one of the largest and most famous battles in Japanese history.
The game's storyline branches out depending on your decisions, taking you either through historical events or fictional 'what if?' scenarios. You can play as Tokugawa Ieyasu or his opponents, each with their own strengths and weaknesses.
Battles take place in real time, where you'll instruct your generals on where to lead their troops and what special actions to perform. These include firing cannons, charging into battle, or unleashing a flight of arrows, all depicted in cinematic cut-scenes.
