Die Hard Trilogy , a unique package featuring three arcade-style games based on each of the Die Hard movies, lets players guide New York cop John McClane through various challenges. Each movie is represented through a different style, making this a "3 games in 1" style package.
Die Hard is a third-person action/adventure game set on thirty floors of the Nakatomi Tower high-rise. Terrorists have taken hostages during a Christmas party, and as McClane, the player must search for them through different levels. The default pistol holds infinite ammo, and machine guns and grenades can be collected to aid in the mission.
Die Hard 2: Die Harder is a first-person arcade gun game, similar to Virtua Cop. Players automatically move through Washington/Dulles Airport, shooting bad guys that appear from behind scenery. Weapon upgrades can be collected and used to aid in the mission.
Die Hard With A Vengeance features players racing through New York City streets in vehicles, trying to locate bombs before they explode. The player must follow directions and collect power-ups to aid in the mission.
All three games feature exaggerated violence and use a combination of graphics to generate their worlds, resulting in some quirky effects.
