Pac-Man Fever takes place again! This time, Pac-Man is throwing a party and has invited his other Namco friends to join in the activities. Players can choose from six different characters: Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Heihachi Mishima, Tiger Jackson, Astaroth, and Reiko. Gameplay is similar to Nintendo's Mario Party, where each player competes in a set of mini-games to advance around the board of three various worlds: Medieval, Space, and Tropical. Players can set the length of the game (short, medium, long) and play in rounds. Each round begins with a mini-game that determines how far a player can move on the board. Players can use tokens to control their movement, steal tokens from other players, or spend them to buy raffle tickets.
The board is made up of different tiles, each with its own effects. Some tiles allow players to move forward or backward, while others enable them to play mini-games, lose tokens, or gain redemption tickets. Players can also use store tiles to gamble for more tokens or spend them on other benefits.
Once a player reaches the end of the board, they receive redemption tickets based on how far they got on the board. These tickets can be used to buy individual mini-games for tournament play outside the game, allowing players to compete against each other in a separate mode.
The goal is to accumulate as many points as possible by completing all the mini-games and adding up your redemption tickets. With its unique blend of mini-games and strategic gameplay, Pac-Man Fever offers a fun and challenging experience for players of all ages.
